Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council Has Made the above Order under Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.


Effect of the order: To introduce a 20mph Zone on the following lengths of roads (Chesterwell Development) in the Parish of Myland in the City of Colchester:

(A133 Clacton Road, Elmstead) (Temporary Introduction of 40mph Speed Restriction) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.


Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 40 MPH speed restriction in that length of A133 Clacton Road, Elmstead in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Carpenters Lane to its junction with Elmstead Road a distance of approximately 715m in both directions. The speed restriction is scheduled to commence on 2nd January 2023 for 547 days, or where stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The speed restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while highway improvement works are undertaken by Essex County Council. The Order will come into effect on 29th December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been


completed, whichever is the earlier.



(Abberton Road, Fingringhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.


Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Abberton Road, Fingringhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 70m west of its junction with Haye Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010710064 – Anglian Water).


The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Mersea Road, Weir Lane, Blackheath, Abbots Road, Old Heath Road, Fingringhoe Road, Rowhedge Road and vice versa (with access only into Chapel Road, Abberton Road and School Lane). The Order will come into effect on 5th January 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.



(Alexandra Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.


Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Alexandra Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 10m north west of its junction with Alexandra Terrace for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03060877067 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter exchange works are undertaken by Anglian Water. (Bath Street, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bath Street, Wivenhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with West Street to its junction with The Quay a distance of approximately 80m. The closure is scheduled to commence on


16th January 2023 for 28 days, or where stated on a valid permit (E201103668215 – VX Fiber Limited). (Church Road, Boxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.


Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Boxted in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Burnt Dick Hill to its junction Church Street a distance of approximately 640m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th January 2023 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2332816-EH2332987 – Essex County Council). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of East Street, Wivenhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Alma Street to its junction with High Street a distance of approximately 80m. The closure is scheduled to commence on

(Old Ipswich Road, Ardleigh/Langham) (Temporary Introduction of 40mph Speed Restriction) Order 2023


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 40 MPH speed restriction in that length of Old Ipswich Road, Ardleigh/Langham in the District of Tendring/Borough of Colchester, from the junction with Wick Lane to the junction with Harts Lane a distance approximately 370m. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 13th January 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2337376 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council. (Rams Farm Road/Bergholt Road, Fordham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:


1. To temporarily close that length of Rams Farm Road, Fordham in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Bergholt Road for a distance of approximately 815m in a north westerly direction.


2. To temporarily close that length of Bergholt Road, Fordham in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Rams Farm Road for a distance of approximately 485m in a north easterly then easterly direction.


The closures are scheduled to commence on 23rd January 2023 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2335905/08 – Essex County Council). (Rose Lane, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rose Lane, Wivenhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with East Street to its junction with The Quay a distance of approximately 55m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th January 2023 for 28 days, or where stated on a valid permit (E201198871932 – VX Fiber Limited). (Sir Isaacs Walk, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sir Isaacs Walk, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Headgate for a distance of approximately 20m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on


23rd January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03060191619/4 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while disconnection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.


No alternative route is available with access only into Trinity Street and Sir Isaacs Walk. The Order will come into effect on 5th January 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.



(Trinity Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Trinity Street, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 40m north of its junction with Sir Isaacs Walk for a distance of approximately 30m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th January 2023 for 2 nights (19:00 - 06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD03161336151 – Anglian Water). (West Street, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of West Street, Wivenhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Station Road a distance of approximately 220m. The closure is scheduled to commence on


16th January 2023 for 28 days, or where stated on a valid permit (E201147417402 – VX Fiber Limited). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brook Street, Great Bromley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Hall Road to its junction with Mary Lane North a distance of approximately 265m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2337906 – Essex County Council). (Carringtons Road, Great Bromley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Carringtons Road, Great Bromley in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 115m north east of its junction with Hall Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th January 2023


for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30022152402 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. (Chapel Road, Boxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chapel Road, Boxted in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Straight Road for a distance of approximately 540m in an


easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th January 2023 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2335495 – Essex County Council). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Boxted in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 220m south west of its junction with Wet Lane for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th January 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Street, Boxted in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Parsonage Road for a distance of approximately 1130m in a north


westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th January 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2335491 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
