Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fiddlers Hill, Fordham Heath in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 90m north west of its junction with Fiddlers Folly for a distance of approximately 825m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2332775 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. (Horkesley Road, Boxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Horkesley Road, Boxted in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Straight Road for a distance of approximately 660m in a south


westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2335747 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. (Little Bromley Road, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Bromley Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 60m south east of its junction with Harwich Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th January 2023 for 1 night (23:00-01:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701LTN1-56-37-280123 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while retaining wall inspection works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd. An alternative route is available via Little Bromley Road, Harwich


Road, The Street, Station Road, Frating Road, Slough Lane, Old Shield Farm Road, Morrow Lane and vice versa.


The Order came into effect on 15th December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.



(Morten Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Morten Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with North Station Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly


direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03161280521 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Colne Bank Avenue, Albert Roundabout, North Station Road and vice versa with access only into St Pauls Road. The Order came into effect on 15th December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.



(Newbridge Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Newbridge Road, Tiptree in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 180m north east of its junction with Park Drive for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010711882 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Church Road, Maypole Road, Colchester Road, Maldon Road and vice versa (with access only into Smythes Green and Chapel Road). The Order came into effect on 15th December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.



(New Captains Road, West Mersea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of New Captains Road, West Mersea in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Churchfields to its junction with St Peters Road a distance of approximately 190m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th January 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2337050 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Churchfields, Captains Road, High Street, High Street North, Mersea Avenue, St Peters Road and vice versa.


The Order came into effect on 15th December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.



(New Park Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of New Park Street, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Artillery Street to its junction with New Park Street a distance


of approximately 130m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2332869 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway & cycleway works are undertaken by Essex County Council. (Park Lane, Langham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Park Lane, Langham in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Langham Lane to its junction with Wick Road a distance of approximately 1200m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2330664 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. (Plough Road, Great Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Plough Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Keeble Court for a distance of approximately 190m in a south


easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th January 2023 for 31 days, or where stated on a valid permit (ZP010N0021013-1-EUL-AD – Gas Transportation Co Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Gas Transportation Co Ltd. An alternative route is available via Plough Road, Weeley Road, The Tye Road, Lovers Lane, St Marys Road and vice versa.


The Order came into effect on 15th December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.



(School Lane, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of School Lane, Great Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with The Causeway to its junction with London Road a distance


of approximately 1310m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th January 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2337694 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via The Causeway, Tog Lane, London Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 15th December 2022 and may


continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.



(Shatters Road, Layer Breton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Shatters Road, Layer Breton in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 100m north east of its junction with Lower Road for


a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010646651 – Anglian Water).


The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Smythes Green, Maldon Road, Lower Road, School Hill, Birch Street, Layer Breton Heath and vice versa (with access only into Shatters Road and Winters Hill).The Order came into effect on 15th December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.



(Temporary Introduction of No Left Turn Northern Approach Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a no left turn from Northern Approach Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester into Mill Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester. The


restriction is scheduled to commence on 16th January 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SAFAA8046B002 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce


while joint box works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Northern Approach Road,


Via Urbis Romanae, Axial Way and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 15th December 2022 and may


continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.



(Various Roads, District of Tendring) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) (No.7) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:


1. To temporarily close that length of road in the District of Tendring as specified in Schedule 1.


2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road and that in schedule 2 for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting. No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.


3. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction in those lengths of road in the schedule.



"The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time" restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only.


All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 15th December 2022 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each
