The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -
The Isle of Wight Council (Chale Street, Chale, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0730 hours on Wednesday 4th January 2023 until 1830 hours on Friday 17 February 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Chale Street, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Colwell Common Road, Totland, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2022

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between 0800 hours and 1600 hours, between Wednesday 04 January 2023 and Friday 06 January 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Week Lane for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 30 December 2022 and Friday 10 February 2023 the following roads and footpaths will be closed for both day and night for a period of approximately 5 weeks within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of works to be completed. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads, and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road, where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include footway reconstruction, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance, junction improvement works, and kerbing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences.
