ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENTION NOT TO PREPARE AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT
Regulation 5 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Land Drainage Improvement Works (Amended) Regulations 1999 SI 1999/1783
DEBRIS SCREEN AND PLATFORM REMOVAL The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to remove debris screens from 3 culverts and to remove one redundant access platform on various watercourses in Hampshire.
The proposed improvement works will involve the following: Hedge End, Fowler's Road (SU4870913558) inlet and outlet screen removal Twyford, Finch's Lane (SU4795524598) outlet screen removal, Valley Park, Crusader's Way (SU4198520743) inlet, outlet screen and platform removal and Petersfield, Frenchman's Road (SU7420023520) platform removal.
The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them.
Removal of the screens and platforms does not impact on the local environments and eliminating ongoing maintenance visit will benefit the environment by reducing CO2 emissions.
Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 30 days of the date of publication of this notice.
