Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) &15(2) Melford Road. East Ham, E6 (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order, 2022

1. The NEWHAM LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL, hereby gives notice that it made an Order - Melford Road, East Ham, E6, (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic), Order 2022. The general effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrian traffic from proceeding or waiting on the public highway.

2. The Order will be made to enable Bugler Developments Limited and it contractors to carry out building works, on or near the highway on various roads listed in schedule 1 below.

3. The prohibition applies from Tuesday 3rd January 2023 until Tuesday 31 st December 2024 or on completion of the works, whichever

is the sooner.
4. The general effect of which will be No person shall enter or cause to enter the roads listed in schedule 1 below, at

such times as appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).
5. Vehicular and pedestrian access will be prohibited when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).

6. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via local adjacent roads, one way streets where necessary, may be reversed or revert to two - way working, road closures and parking prohibitions will apply when the appropriate signs are displayed.

7. This Order will not apply to vehicles used by the Emergency Services, or in connection with the works, provided that the road space is available.
