(Academy Way And Surrounding Area, Dagenham) Amendment

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in exercise of its powers under sections 6, 84, 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter called "the Act") and all other enabling legislation and powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act propose to make the above Orders, the effect of which will be to:
1. Introduce a 20mph Zone Speed Limit at the following locations:

a. Academy Way, Campus Avenue, Chancellor Way, College Way, Fellowship Close, Provost Way and Scholars Way.
2. Introduce a No entry restriction travelling northwards on Scholars Way northern arm, at a point 22 metres south of its junction with Longbridge Road.

3. Introduce prohibited right turns at the following locations:

a. Campus Avenue into Scholars Way square about.

b. College Way into Longbridge Road.

c. Scholars Way southern arm into Scholars Way square about.

4. Introduce a One-way restriction at the following locations:

a. College Way, in a northerly direction, from its junction with Chancellor Way to its junction with Longbridge Road.

b. Scholars Way northern arm, west side in a northerly direction, from its junction with College Way for a distance of 37 metres in a northerly direction.

c. Scholars way northern arm, east side in a southerly direction, from point 37 metres north of its junction with College Way in a southerly direction to its junction with College Way.

d. Scholars Way square about, from its junction with Campus Avenue clockwise around the square about.

5. Introduce a Restricted Parking Zone No Waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm at the following locations:

a. Scholars Way, both sides, from its junction with Scholars Way northern arm and Campus Avenue to its junction with Academy Way.

b. Academy Way, both sides, from a point 11 metres west of the common boundary of Nos. 40 and 42 Academy Way for a distance of 18.5 metres in a westerly direction.

6. Introduce a Restricted Parking Zone No Waiting and No Loading Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm except in signed bays at the following locations:

a. Fellowship Close, both sides, from a point 6.5 metres south of its junction with Campus Avenue to a point 6.5 metres north of its junction with Academy Way.
7. Introduce No Waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm restrictions on Academy Way, both sides, from its junction with Lodge Avenue in a westerly direction to a point 11 metres west of the common boundary of Nos. 40 and 42 Academy Way.

8. Introduce No Waiting At Any Time restrictions and No Loading At Any Time restrictions at the following locations:

a. Academy Way, north side, from a point 6.5 metres west of its junction with Fellowship Close to a point 7 metres east of its junction with Fellowship Close.

b. Academy Way, north side, from a point 22 metres west of its junction with Fellowship Close for a distance of 86 metres in an easterly direction.

c. Academy Way, south side, from a point 6.5 metres west of its junction with Fellowship Close for a distance of 121 metres in an easterly direction.

d. Scholars Way northern arm, west side, from its junction with Scholars Way square about to a point 22 metres south of its junction with Longbridge Road.

e. Scholars Way northern arm, east side, from its junction with Scholars Way square about for a distance of 29.5 metres in a northerly direction.

f. Scholars Way northern arm, east side, from a point 13 metres south of its junction with Longbridge Road for a distance of 40.5 metres in a southerly direction.

g. Scholars Way northern arm, around the west and south side of the central island from its junction with College Way for a distance of 37 metres in a northerly direction.

h. Campus Avenue, north side, from the eastern property boundary of No. 41 Campus Avenue to a point 9 metres east of its junction with Fellowship Close.

i. Campus Avenue, north side, a point 31 metres east of its junction with Fellowship Close for a distance of 55.5 metres in an easterly direction.

j. Campus Avenue, north-east side, from a point 3 metres north-west of its junction with Provost Way to a point 4 metres south-east of its junction with Provost Way.
k. Campus Avenue, south side, from the common property boundary of Nos. 58 and 60 Campus Avenue in an easterly direction to its junction with Scholars Way square about.
I. Campus Avenue, north-east side, from its junction with Chancellor Way to a point 8 metres south-east of its junction with Longbridge Road.
m. Campus Avenue, south-west side, from a point 8 metres south-east of its junction with Longbridge Road to a point 6.2 metres south-east of a point
opposite the south-eastern property boundary of No. 25 Campus Avenue, n. College Way, east side, from its junction with Longbridge Road for a distance of 43.5 metres in a southerly direction, o. College Way, east side, from its junction with Campus Avenue to a point 6 metres north of its junction with College Way west to east arm. p. College Way, west side, from its junction with Longbridge Road to a point 9 metres south of its junction with Chancellor Way. q. College Way, west side, from its junction with Campus Avenue in a northerly direction for a distance of 20 metres, r. College Way west to east arm, both sides, from its junction with College Way for a distance of 6 metres in an easterly direction, s. Fellowship Close, both sides from its junction with Campus Avenue in a southerly direction for a distance of 6.5 metres, t. Fellowship Close, both sides, from its junction with Academy Way for a distance of 6.5 metres in a northerly direction, u. Chancellor Way, north side, from its junction with College Way to its junction with Campus Avenue, v. Chancellor Way, south side, from its junction with College Way for a distance of 8 metres in westerly direction.
w. Chancellor Way, south side, from a point 4.5 metres east of its junction with Provost Way to a point 5 metres west of its junction with Provost Way. x. Provost Way, both sides, from its junction with Chancellor Way for a distance of 4 metres in a southerly direction, y. Provost Way, both sides, from its junction with Campus Avenue for a distance of 6 metres in a north-easterly direction.
9. Introduce No Stopping Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm on entrance markings restrictions on Scholars Way northern arm, east side, from a point 27.5 metres north of its junction with Scholars Way square about for a distance of 34 metres in a northerly direction.

10. Introduce Limited Waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm 4hrs no return within 1 hr bays at the following locations:

a. Campus Avenue, north side, from a point 9 metres east of its junction with Fellowship Close for a distance of 22 metres in an easterly direction.

b. Campus Avenue, north side, from a point 86.5 metres east of its junction with Fellowship Close for a distance of 23.5 metres in an easterly direction

c. Academy Way, north side, from a point 7 metres east of its junction with Fellowship Close for a distance of 15 metres in a easterly direction.

d. Fellowship Close, west side, from a point 6.5 metres south of its junction with Campus Avenue for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction. Barking and Dagenham hereby GIVES FURTHER NOTICE in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 90A-F of the Highways Act 1980 as amended and of all other enabling powers and in accordance with the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 as amended and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis intends to construct the following traffic calming measures:

a. Raised tables within the tolerance levels of 1500mm x125mm across the entire carriageway width, at the following locations:
i. On College Way, from a point 3 metres south to a point 3 metres north of its junction with Chancellor Way.

ii. On College Way, from a point 19 metres north of its junction with Campus Avenue to its junction with Campus Avenue.

iii. On Campus Avenue, from a point 7.5 metres west of its junction College Way to a point 5 metres east of its junction with Fellowship Close.

iv. On College Way west to east arm, from a point 4.5 metres east of its junction with College Way to its junction with Scholars Way northern arm.

v. On Campus Avenue, from a point 38.5 metres east of its junction with Fellowship Close to a point 32.5 metres west of its junction with Scholars Way.

vi. On Scholars Way square about, from its junction with Campus Avenue clockwise around the square about.

vii. On Scholars Way northern arm, from a point 13 metres north of its junction with Scholars Way square about to a point 1 metre north of its junction with College Way west to east arm.

viii. On Scholars Way northern arm, both sides, from a point 37.5 metres north of its junction with College Way west to east arm to a point 22 metres south of its junction with Longbridge Road.

ix. On Scholars Way, from its junction with Scholars Way square about to its junction with Academy Way.

x. On Academy Way, from a point 10 metres west of its junction with Scholars Way to a point 10 metres west of the eastern property boundary of No. 42 Academy Way.

xi. On Academy Way, from the western property boundary of No. 34 Academy Way to the eastern property boundary of No. 20 Academy Way.

xii. On Academy Way, from a point 34.5 metres east of its junction with Fellowship Close for a distance of 45 metres in an easterly direction.

xiii. On Chancellor Way, from a point 3.5 metres north-east of its junction with Campus Avenue to its junction with College Way.

xiv. On Campus Avenue, from the north-western boundary of No. 1 Campus Avenue to the south-eastern boundary of No. 7 Campus Avenue.

xv. On Campus Avenue, from the north-western boundary of No. 27 Campus Avenue to the south-eastern boundary of No. 33 Campus Avenue.

xvi. On Provost Way, from its junction with Chancellor Way to a point 3.5 metres north-east of its junction with Campus Avenue. xvii.On Fellowship Close, from its junction with Campus Avenue to a point 4.5 metres north of its junction with Academy Way.
