The Borough Of Watford (Watford) (Controlled Parking Zones) (Consolidation) Order 2018 (Amendment) (No. 18) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for Hertfordshire County Council has made the above-mentioned Order pursuant to arrangements made under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Government (Arrangements for Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with the Hertfordshire County Council, and in exercise of the powers conferred on that County under sections 1, 2, 4, 45, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 51 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and Part 6 of The Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers. The order will come into operation on Friday 23rd December 2022. The general effect of the Order will be to amend waiting restrictions as follows:

* Francis Road (both sides), (introduce 5 metres of no waiting and no loading at any time from junction with Market Street)

* Market Street (both sides), (introduce 5 metres of no waiting and no loading at any time from junction with Francis Road)

* Vicarage Road (West Side, on the northern end and southern end), (implement no loading at any time above the existing no waiting at any time between its junction with Rose Gardens and a point 15 metres in the north-eastern direction of that junction.

* Rose Gardens (both sides) (implement no loading at any time above the existing no waiting at any time between its junction with Vicarage Road and a point 15 metres in the south easterly direction.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders, or of any of the provisions contained in them, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
