The Harrow (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No. 11) Traffic Order 2022

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Harrow on 12 December 2022 made the above mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 49, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Parking Places Order will be to:

a. revoke the provision for cash payments at all on street parking places within the London Borough of Harrow;

b. introduce provision for contactless payment at ticket machines in certain lengths of the streets listed in Schedule 1 to this Notice;

c. introduce provision to pay parking charges in certain retail outlets across the London Borough of Harrow.

3. The general effect of the Free Parking Places Order will be to designate free parking places in certain lengths of the roads specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice, to operate at any time.

4. A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on 3 January 2023, of the Harrow (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2020 (and of the Orders which have amended that Order) and the Harrow (Free Parking Places) Traffic Order 2016 (and of the Orders which have amended that Order) can be inspected at Greenhill Library, Perceval Square, College Road, Harrow, HA1 1GX between 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 3pm Sunday.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
