Temporary Closure of Watery Lane, Upwey, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WATERY LANE, UPWEY, WEYMOUTH between its junction with Stottingway Street and its junction with the access road to Wey Valley Farm, a distance of approximately 510 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 3 January 2023 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 February 2023. This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to replace water main. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Stottingway Street - Dorchester Road - Mill Street - Watery Lane. Temporary Closure of Public Footpath S60/4, Woodsford
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Public Footpath S60/4, Woodsford from grid reference SY 765 901 to grid reference SY 767 038 a distance of approximately 230 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 30 December 2022 for a period of 26 weeks, butit may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This closure is needed due to carry out repairs to a dangerous wall which is leaning towards the footpath.
