D2203 Heathcote Road and D2128 Downside, Epsom Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022

On 14 December 2022 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: - 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: - a) The entire length of D2203 Heathcote Road, Epsom. Alternative route - Ashley Road, St Martin's Avenue and Downside. b) That length of D2128 Downside, Epsom that extends from its junction with B289 Downs Road, to the eastern side of its junction with D2403 St Martin's Avenue. Alternative route - For southbound traffic - Downs Road, Downs Hill Road and St Martin's Avenue. For northbound traffic - Downs Road, Church Street and Worple Road. 2. Suspend the existing one way system in D2203 Heathcote Road, Epsom in its entirety. This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm, within 3 months of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 January 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents, businesses and emergency services will be maintained at all times via the vehicular diversion routes described above.

B2200 Cheam Road and D2390 Stane Way, Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in: - a) The entire length of the south-eastbound carriageway and the eastern footway to B2200 Cheam Road, Ewell. b) The entire length of D2390 Stane Way, Ewell. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out footway works and/or resurfacing and/or highway improvement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within 2 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 16 January 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the alternative route: - Diversion route for south-eastbound traffic - C254 High Street, B2200 London Road and A24 Ewell By Pass. 2. C254 High Street, C254 Epsom Road and A24 Ewell By Pass. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the roads can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner. For a) B2200 Cheam Road, Ewell access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained via the opposite footway. For b) D2390 Stane Way, Ewell access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
