The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative from 4th February 2023, which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath Westhoughton 066 commencing from Great Bank Road point A at grid reference SD 64789 06518 in a generally southerly direction to point B Old Lane at grid reference SD 64723 06154; as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1 Wes 066 over a total distance of approximately 389 metres.
An alternative route is available commencing from Great Bank Road, point A at grid reference SD 64789 06518; public footpaths Wes 060, Wes 062, Wes 198, Cemetery Street, Church Street, School Street, Wes 063, Wes 064, Wes 065 to Wes 066 (Old Lane) point B at grid reference SD 64723 06154 as shown by the blue line with arrowheads on the Order plan 1 Wes 066. The Order is necessary to facilitate railway bridge reconstruction works and will continue until 7th February 2023 or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier. (LS/AAB/087676).

The Bolton (Public Footpath Westhoughton 067) (Temporary Closure) (N0.69) Order 2022

The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative from 30th January 2023, which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath Westhoughton 067 commencing from Long Island Golf Course point A at grid reference SD 64134 06238 in a generally east then south easterly direction to point B Old Lane at grid reference SD 64715 06152; as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1 Wes 067 over a total distance of approximately 650 metres.

An alternative route is available Commencing from Long Island Golf Course, point A at grid reference SD 64134 06238; public footpaths Wes 068, Wes 059 (Long Lane) to Wes 066 (Old Lane) point B at grid reference SD 64715 06152 as shown by the blue line with arrowheads on the Order plan 1 Wes 067.
The Order is necessary to facilitate railway bridge reconstruction works and will continue until 1 st March 2023 or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier. (LS/AAB/087677).

The Bolton (Public Footpath Westhoughton 086 & 087) (Temporary Closure) (No.70) Order 2022

The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative from 4th February 2023, which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpaths Westhoughton 086 & 087 commencing from point A at grid reference SD 63751 05944 in a generally east south easterly then north then north easterly direction to point B at grid reference SD 64165 05709; as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1 Wes086-087 over a total distance of approximately 592 metres.

An alternative route is available commencing from, point A at grid reference SD 63751 05944; public footpaths Wes 085, Wes 062, Wes 071, Wes 069, Wes 068, Wes 059 (Long Lane), Wes 060 (Great Bank Road), Wes 062, Wes 198, Cemetery Street, Church Street, School Street, Wes 063, Wes 064, Wes 092 (Dobb Brow Road), Wes 091, to Wes 089 point B at grid reference SD 64165 05709 as shown by the blue line with arrowheads on the Order plan 1 Wes 086-087.

The Bolton (Public Footpath Horwich 167) (Temporary Closure) (No.71) Order 2022

The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative from 2nd January 2023, which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath Horwich 167 commencing from a point off Green Lane point A at grid reference SD 63976 12530 in a generally northwest by north direction to point B at grid reference SD 63952 12560; as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1Hor167 over a total distance of approximately 40 metres.
An alternative route is available commencing from a point off Green Lane,
point A at approx. grid reference SD 63976 12530; leading adjacent to public
footpath Horwich 167 to point B at approx. grid reference SD 63952 12560.
The Order is necessary to facilitate SW drainage work and will continue until
13th February 2023 or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier
