The County Of Cumbria (Various Roads, South Lakeland Area) (Consolidation Of Traffic Regulations) (Order 2002) Variation Order (Staveley) (No. 2) 2022

1. Cumbria County Council hereby give notice that on 13 December 2022 it made the above Order under Sections 1,2,19, 32, 35, 35A, 38,45,46,47,49, 51, 53 and 64 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The Order will come into operation on 19 December 2022 and its effect will be to introduce the following in Staveley: (a) "Parking Places, 8.00 am - 6.00 pm, on any day, waiting limited to I hour, return prohibited within I hour" on Main Street and Silver Street (locations A-F on the plan) - (residents of Zone A will be exempt from the waiting restrictions);

(b) "Parking Places 8.00 am - 6.00 pm, waiting limited to 30 minutes, return prohibited within 30 minutes" on Main Street (locations G - H on the plan) - (residents of Zone A will be exempt from the waiting restrictions);

(c) "Goods Vehicle Loading only Parking Places - 8.00 am - 11.00 am, on any day" on Back Lane (location M on the plan);

(d) "Parking Places - 11.00 am - 6.00 pm, on any day, waiting limited to I hour, return prohibited within I hour" on Back Lane (location M on the plan)

Note: - The residential properties eligible for Zone A Staveley permits are:
Main Street (Odd Nos) 29-35,47-49,49A, 51-61,65-69,73-87; Main Street (Even Nos) 14-20,20A, 24-44,38A, 38B, The Chapel 46-52, 40A, River View, The Barn, Beck View Gowan Bank Gowan Bank Cottage, 2 Gowan Bank; Nos 2-5 The Green (inclusive); Nos I -6 Silver Street (inclusive); andNo.2 School Lane.
(e) "No Waiting At Any Time" (double yellow line) restrictions on the junctions of Silver Street with Main Street and School Lane, at Scroggs Close, and outside Nos 75 - 77 Main Street (locations I - L on the plan).

(f) Replace the "No Stopping on School Entrance Markings, 8.15am - 9.15 am and 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm, School Days only" on Brow Lane, with "No Stopping on "School "Keep Clear" Markings, B. 15am - 9.15 am and 3.00 pm - 4.00 pm, School Days Only" as shown on the plan on Brow Lane, to reflect the restriction signed on site.

4. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of diat Act or any instrument made there under has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 13 December 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
