The County Council of Durham (Footpath Number 24 Bearpark and Footpath Numbers 15 and 41 Witton Gilbert) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022

The above-named Order made by the Council on 15/6/22, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 19/6/22 has been continued in force from 19/12/22, as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 18/12/23 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily close to all pedestrian traffic 525 metres of Footpath number 41 Witton Gilbert Parish extending southwards from Footpath number 17 and 653 metres of Footpath number 15 extending southwards from Footpath 41 and 522 metres of Footpath number 24 between footpath 15 Witton Gilbert to Footpath 1 number 1 Bearpark Parish to safeguard pedestrians and to enable remedial works or diversion works to be undertaken to the riverbank and footpath. Alternative route from the northern side of the closure from Footpath 41 westerly and southerly via Footpath numbers 19 and 38 Witton Gilbert and Footpath numbers 21 and 1 Bearpark Parish to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa.
