Parish of Chipstable Temporary Closure of Waterrow Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Waterrow Road - from the junction with South Molton Road, northwards for a total distance of 30 metres. This Order will enable Milestone Infrastructure to carry out drainage works. The Order becomes effective on 29th December
2022 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 3rd January

2023 and last until 13th January 2023 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 11 days. Please visit

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
