Temporary Traffic Order -Western Road, Brighton

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

(a) The temporary prohibition of eastbound traffic on Western Road, Brighton, between its junction with Montpelier Road and North Street.

(b) The temporary introduction of no waiting at any time on the northern side of Upper North Street between property numbers 87 and 90.

(c) The temporary introduction of no waiting at any time on the northern side of Upper North Street between property numbers 102 and 105.

(d) The temporary removal of the weight restriction on Upper North Street and Montpelier Terrace.

(e) The temporary introduction of no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time on the eastern side of Spring Street between Hampton Street and Western Road.

(f) The temporary introduction of Disabled Badge Holders Parking Places on the west side of Spring Street from the junction of Hampton Street southwards for a distance of 11 metres.

2. The Order is necessary to allow works for the Western Road improvement scheme.

3. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

4. This Order comes into force on 3 January 2023 for twenty four months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
