Management Rules - Public Notice

Notice is given that on 26th October 2022, East Renfrewshire Council agreed:

1. To request that, by virtue of the powers conferred upon it by Part IX of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, the Council introduces Management Rules to regulate the use of, and the conduct of persons while using, any Council Property operated under license by East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure.

2. To seek permission to advertise the proposed Management Rules and thereby to consult with and seek the views of members of the public in East Renfrewshire as required by legislation.

3. To seek permission, in the absence of objections from the public, to move directly to the introduction of the Management Rules without the need for a further report to Council.

These Management Rules, replace previously expired rules and set out the expectations on how a Premises should be used.

They are developed to ensure residents opportunities to participate in a safe environment are maximised and to allow the management of any unacceptable behaviours to be dealt with efficiently.

A copy of these rules can be inspected between Monday 19th December 2022 until Monday 30th January 2023 at the following locations:

* Mearns Library
