Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C87 The Street (Part), Sopworth; from the entrance to its property known as Manor farm for a distance of approximately 25m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer lining and associated works. Alternative route via C87 (unaffected length) -A433 - Ragged Castle Road - C68 - C87 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 January 2023 and the closure will be required for 3 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600. B) Sandpits Lane (Part), Sherston; from its junction with Holmfield to its junction with North End Gardens to enable Wessex Water to carry out construction of new gravity sewer to connect residential properties to mains sewers and associated works. Alternative route via Sandpits Lane (unaffected length) - Church Street - Court Street - Knockdown Road and vice versa. C) B3087 (Part), Burbage and Easton Royal; from its roundabout junction with A338 to its junction with High Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, replacement of road markings, adjustment of ironworks and associated works. Alternative route via B3087 (unaffected length) - A345 - A342 - A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 January 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 for 2 days. Thames Water to carry out customer connection and associated works. Alternative route via Coldharbour Lane (unaffected length) - C6 - Blowhorn Street - Laineys Close and vice versa. E) C116 The Street (Part), Marston Meysey; from outside its property known as No.19, The Street for a distance of approximately 150m in a southerly direction to enable Wales & West Utilities Ltd to carry out installation of new services and associated works. Alternative route via C116 (unaffected length) - Fairford Road - Cirencester Road - Down Ampney Road - Out of County and vice versa. F) A342 (Part), Urchfont and Chirton; from its junction with C242 to its junction with The Hollow to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, replacement of road markings, adjustment of ironworks and associated works. Alternative route via A342 (unaffected length) - A360 - B3086 - The Packway - A345 -A342 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route for HGV above 4.1m via A342 (unaffected length) - A360 - Cheverall Road - High Street - B3098 - A360 - B3086 - The Packway - A345 - A342 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 09 January 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: G) Gunsite Lane (Part), Avebury; from its junction with A4 for a distance of approximately 55m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to provide a safe working area for engineers to access existing telegraph pole to provide customer service and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 21 December 2022 and the closure will be required 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.


Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to temporarily introduce a 7.5T weight restriction with an exemption for agricultural vehicles and those accessing business and premises on the following lengths of roads: A) Bowds Lane, Brinkworth, Tockenham and Lyneham and Bradenstoke; from its junction with Trow Lane to its junction with A3102. B) C120 Trow Lane (Part), Brinkworth and Tockenham; from its junction with Sodom Lane to its junction with A3012. C) C76
Cheesley Hill (Part), Brinkworth and Tockenham; from its junction with Sodom Lane to its junction with A3012 due to reasons of highway safety and risk of serious damage to the highway during planning and works for the land slippage at Lyneham Banks. The restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This restriction which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 22 December 2022 and is anticipated to be required until the completion of the land slippage works at Lyneham Banks. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Footpath 30 (Part), Marlborough; from outside Electricity Distribution Site for a distance of approximately 225m in a south easterly direction to enable public safety during works to upgrade section of footpath. Alternative route via existing alternative highways and public rights of way. This Order will come into operation on 09 January 2023 and the closure will be required for 02 months. C) Footpath 71 (Part), Brinkworth; from its junction with Bridleway 58, Brinkworth to its junction with Footpath 72, Brinkworth to enable to undertake works associated with landslip. Alternative route via public highways. This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 16 December 2022 and the closure is anticipated to finish on 31 January 2023. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County Of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Hullavington And St Paul Malmesbury Without) (Derestricted Roads) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be as follows: To introduce a derestricted speed limit (national speed limit) on the following lengths of road: C1 (new road), Hullavington and St Paul Malmesbury Without - from its roundabout junction with A429 to a point 585 metres in a westerly direction; Dyson Access Road, St Paul Malmesbury Without - from the centre of its roundabout junction with C1 (new road) to a point 94 metres in a southerly direction (on the airfield access road); M4 Carting Access Road, St Paul Malmesbury Without - from its junction with the C1 (new road) to a point 17 metres in a northerly direction. Copies of the draft Order, plan and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
