Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Faringdon, Coach Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 3 January 2023 Coming into force: 9 January 2023 This Order is being introduced because of electricity network upgrade works which are anticipated to be completed 20 January 2023. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle using that part of Coach Lane at its junction with London Street. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Church Street and London Street. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T11062/AC)

Blewbury, Footpath off Bohams Road - Closure Date of Order: 19 December 2022 Coming into force: 9 January 2023 This Order is being introduced because construction of new access track from the existing concrete road which is anticipated to be completed 17 March 2023. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily he footpath off Bohams Road. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to property which are only accessible from the closed section of bridleway. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The alternative route for those affected by the closure is via the track to Bohams Road This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. Drayton, Sutton Wick Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 3 January 2023 Coming into force: 9 January 2023 This Order is being introduced because of gas main replacement works which are anticipated to be completed 24 February 2023. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the southern section of Sutton Wick Lane (cul-de-sac). Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Sunningwell, Footpath 372/8/10 Closure Date of Order: 20 December 2021 Came into force: 29 December 2021 This Order was introduced for public safety of walkers due in the main to an unsafe slope on the quarry footpath and the need for remedial. The difficulty of engaging contractors, design and build matters and prioritisation of funds has prevented the work from being completed earlier. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily footpath 372/8/10 north of Quarry Road, through the quarry. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to property which is only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate traffic signs are displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. There is no off road alternative route for those affected by the closure. This Order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 31 December 2023 or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T9763/AC)

Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, Church Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 2 January 2023 Coming into force: 9 January 2023 This Order is being introduced because of installation of fibre optic cables which are anticipated to be completed 20 January 2023. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Church Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via High Road, A4130, Didcot Road, West End, Church Lane and vice versa. Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Milton, A4130 - 30 mph Speed Limit Date of Order: 19 December 2022 Coming into force: 2 January 2023 This Order is being introduced for safe working for new junction works involving reduced lane widths which is anticipated to be completed 12 June 2024. The effect of the Order is to temporarily reduce the 40mph speed limit to 30mph from a point approx. 669 metres east of the Milton interchange, eastwards for approx. 1470 metres. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council
(Milton, Abingdon) (Speed Limits) Order 2022 will be
suspended for the duration of the works.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period
of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T11322/AC)
