Somerset County Council District of Somerset West and Taunton Temporary Closure of Railway Street and Thomas Street, Taunton

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Railway Street - from the junction with Kingston Road westwards for a distance of 129 metres; and Thomas Street - from the junction with Grove Terrace southwards for a distance of 104 metres. A total distance of 263 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to lay a new underground duct. The Order becomes effective on 8th December 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 12th December 2022 and last until 14th December 2022 between the hours of 09:30 -15:30 for a total of 3 days.
