Somerset, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Closure

Somerset County Council District of Somerset West and Taunton Parishes of Lydeard St Lawrence and Tolland Temporary Closure of Tarr Road, Pitsford Hill Lane and Hoccombe Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Tarr Road - for its entire length a distance of 2245 metres; Pitsford Hill Lane - from the junction with Tarr Road, westwards for a distance of 455 metres; and Hoccome Road - from the junction with Tarr Road, south westwards for a distance of 1181 metres. For a total distance of 3881 metres. This Order will enable Barden Network Engineering to carry out fibre cabling on behalf of Openreach. The Order becomes effective on 22nd December 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 30th December 2022 and last until 20th January 2023 between the hours of 08:00 -18:00 for a total of 22 days.

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
