Somerset County Council District of Somerset West and Taunton Parishes of Stoke St Gregory and Burrowbridge Temporary Closure of Curload Road and Stanmoor Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Curload Road and Stanmoor Road - Stanmoor Road northwards for 90 metres and Curload Road, southwards for 90 metres from Athelney Level Crossing. A total distance of 180 metres. This Order will enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out tamping works of the track with an On Track Machine following track renewal works. The Order becomes effective on 22nd December 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 31 st December 2022 and last until 1st January 2023 between the hours of 22:30 -10:00 for a total of 1 night.
