Parish of Halse Temporary Closure of Coxlands Rock

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Coxlands Rock - from the junction with Northway Lane in a southerly direction for a total distance of 50 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to repair and replace a valve. The Order becomes effective on 8th December 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 12th December 2022 and last until 12th December 2022 between the hours of 08:00 -17:00 for a total of 1 day.

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
