Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Orders under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III & IV to Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the orders: To remove the existing 'Bus Lane' road markings on Station Way, EAST SIDE from North Station Roundabout, southwards to a point 65 metres north of the junction with Essex Hall Roundabout to facilitate implementation of the following Waiting & Loading Restrictions, modified 'Bus Lane', and 'Cycle Track' in the City of Colchester:
1. To implement 'No Waiting At Any Time' restriction on the following length of road in the City of Colchester:

Road Description

Station Way EAST SIDE: From a point 74 metres north of its junction with (j/w) Essex Hall Roundabout, north for a length of 118 metres.
This order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019, substituting (map) the current tile number TL990 262 (revision 0) to the next available revision number.
2. To implement a 'Bus Only Lane - 24 hours daily restriction, with exemptions for taxis, pedal cycles, motorcycles and licenced private hire vehicles' on the following length of road in the City of Colchester:

Road Description

Station Way, EAST SIDE: Southbound nearside from a point 65 metres north of its j/w Colchester Essex Hall Roundabout southwards for a distance of 65 metres.
3. Essex County Council proposes to construct a 'Cycle Track under highway improvement powers given by section 65 and 66 of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers on the following length of road (including footway and carriageway) in the City of Colchester:

The proposed cycle track has a minimum width of 2 metres and a maximum width of 9 metres and the 195 metre length will have various cycle facilities including:

Cycle Track Type
Carriageway conversion to two way mandatory cycle lanes width 1.25 metres plus 0.5 metre separation (segregation) strip.
Direction
Northbound contraflow. Southbound with flow.
Location
Station Way, Colchester, EAST SIDE: (nearside lane) From a point 23 metres to the north of the datum, (northern side of the railway bridge abutment) southwards for a distance of 103 metres

Cycle Track Type
Footway converson to: Unsegregated Shared Footway/Cycleway. Shared witth: 2m to 9m max
Location
Station Way, Colchester, East Side: (footway) From a point 92 metres north of the northern extended kerb line of Clarendon Way, to the junction wiht Clarendon Way, a distance of 92 metres.

Mandatory and Shared cycle facilities to be connected by a 'cycle scoop', which will also provide a ramp between carriageway level and footway level. General Note: The given measurements and description of road lengths relating to all the above orders/proposal are approximate only.

(Footpath 38, 39 & 46, Myland) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County Council, under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has been continued in force with the consent of the Secretary of State for the Department for Transport until 15 June 2023. Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following footpaths, Myland in City of Colchester. Footpath 38, from its junction with footpath 46, south for a distance of approximately 215 metres. Footpath 39, from its junction with footpath 38, northwest for a distance of approximately 315 metres and Footpath 46 from a point, approximately 325 metres west of its junction with footpath 45, in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 110 metres.
Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County Council, under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has been continued in force with the consent of the Secretary of State for the Department for Transport until 15 June 2023. Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following footpaths, Myland in City of Colchester. Footpath 38, from its junction with footpath 46, south for a distance of approximately 215 metres. Footpath 39, from its junction with footpath 38, northwest for a distance of approximately 315 metres and Footpath 46 from a point, approximately 325 metres west of its junction with footpath 45, in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 110 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 15 December 2022 for 6 months, weather permitting, or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the construction of the next phase of the Chesterwell Development comprising of roads, sewers and residential properties is undertaken.
The alternative route will be via Footpath 45 plus a temporary alternative route and vice versa.
The closure commenced on 15 July 2022 and is required for the safety of the public due to construction works being undertaken.

(Brook Street, Great Bromley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brook Street, Great Bromley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Hall Road to its junction with Mary Lane North a distance of approximately 265m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2337906 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fence replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council. (Carringtons Road, Great Bromley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Carringtons Road, Great Bromley in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 115m north east of its junction with Hall Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th January 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30022152402 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Church Road, Boxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Boxted in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 220m south west of its junction with Wet Lane for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th January 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD022SPA-07332-UI008 - Anglian Water). (Church Street, Boxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Street, Boxted in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Parsonage Road for a distance of approximately 1130m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th January 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2335491 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Bromley Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 60m south east of its junction with Harwich Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th January 2023 for 1 night (23:00-01:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701LTN1-56-37-280123 - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Morten Road, Colchester in
the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with North Station Road for a distance
of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence
