TEMPORARY 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in the District of Richmond, to enable standing water investigation works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at 8pm on Friday 6 January 2023 for 18 months, or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be to impose, 24 hours a day, a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the A1(M) northbound carriageway from 3400 metres north of the entry slip road at Junction 52 (Catterick) northwards for a distance of 1000 metres.
Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restriction (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles). The Order comes into force on the 5 January 2023 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
