ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Botley, New Hinksey Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 19 December 2022 Coming into force: 3 January 2023 This Order is being introduced to close a layby to serve as a parking area for operatives and plant etc. for improvement work to Willow Walk Bridleway and footbridge which is anticipated to be completed 31 March 2023. This is a 24 hour layby closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle using in the whole length of the layby on south side of the lane east of the junction with the A34. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. North Hinksey Lane will remain unaffected. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
