The London Borough of Bromley has confirmed the following directions made under article 4(1) of Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015, which restrict the change of use from commercial to residential:

Each direction applies to the area specified and shown in more detail on a plan. The directions and plans can be viewed at any time at
PermittedDevelopment and at all reasonable hours at the Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH by making a prior appointment through

The directions remove the permitted development right under class MA of part 3 of schedule 2 to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 to change of the use of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class E (commercial, business and service) of Schedule 2 to the Use Classes Order to a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of Schedule 1 to that Order.
From the date a direction comes into effect, anyone wishing to make that change in the direction's area will have to obtain planning permission first by applying to the Council. Making the change without planning permission may result in enforcement action.
