The London Borough of Bromley has made a direction under article 6 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015, which will apply to Bromley Town Centre (North East), Bromley Town Centre (North West), Bromley Town Centre (South), Crayfield Business Park Office Cluster, Knoll Rise Office Cluster and Masons Hill Office Cluster and proposes that it will come into effect on 21 February 2023.

The direction applies to the areas specified and shown in more detail on a plan. The direction and plan can be viewed at any time at

bromley.gov.uk/PermittedDevelopment

and at all reasonable hours at the Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH by making a prior appointment through

The effect will be to cancel the 3 directions confirmed on 25 May 2021 and the 3 directions confirmed on 1 August 2015, all of which removed the permitted development right to the change of use of offices to residential in those areas. This is in order to remove duplication with more recent directions, which have the same effect. Even following cancellation therefore, anyone wishing to make that change in those areas will continue to have to obtain planning permission first by applying to the Council. As currently, making the change without planning permission may result in enforcement action.
