Somerset County Council A39 Puriton Hill, Puriton in the Parishes of Puriton and Bawdrip (Temporary One Way (Westbound)) Order 2022
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary one way (westbound) as specified in the Schedule below. This Order will come into operation on the 20°' day of December 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The temporary one way (westbound) is expected to commence on the 7th January 2023 until the 22nd January 2023 (between 07:00 hours to 19:00 hours) to enable the removal of the bellmouth access (AC2) associated with the Hinkley Connection Project Overhead Line South. A39 Puriton Hill, Puriton (westbound traffic only) -From the junction with A39 Bath Road to the Dunball Interchange roundabout (M5 Junction 22).
Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
