The County Council of Durham (Footpath Number 136 Harperley Park Footbridge, Fir Tree) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022
The Council on 2/12/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 1301 metres of Footpath Number 136 near Harperley Park Footbridge, Fir Tree between Footpath Number 137 near New Plantation and Footpath Number 138 near Wadley to enable footbridge repair works to be undertaken. Alternative route from west side of closure in an easterly direction on Footpath Number 137 then in a south easterly direction on A68 Fir Tree then onto Footpath Number 139 in a southerly direction to western end of closure and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The works are expected to commence on 7/12/22 from 8am and are anticipated to be required for a period of 6 months. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Dated: 5th December 2022
