Swindon Borough Council Notice Of Confirmation Of An Order Highways Act 1980 Footpath LN12 Order 2017

On 30 November 2022 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath running from OS grid reference SU19224 81996, at the southern perimeter of the Great Western Hospital grounds and 40 metres west of the northbound exit slip road of the A419 trunk road, leading east-northeast for 30 metres, north for 20 metres, and east for 10 metres to OS grid reference SU19258 82003, at the slip road, immediately south of the emergency entrance to the hospital grounds, to a line running from OS grid reference SU19224 81996, at the southern perimeter of the Great Western Hospital grounds and 40 metres west of the northbound exit slip road of the A419 trunk road, leading south to OS grid reference SU19218 81689 at the Liddington parish boundary, continuing south then west, north and generally west-southwest to OS grid reference SU18967 81588 at Day House Lane, south of Badbury Wick.

The order comes into force on 2 December 2022 but if a person aggrieved by the order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained within it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, that person may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 56 days of the date of this notice make an application to the High Court.
