LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest ("the Council") hereby gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of the following areas of public highway which are shown hatched black and edged red on the plan attached to the draft order and being:
- Site 1 A: irregular shaped area of highway to the south-west of Argall Way E10 at the north-west junction of Argall Way and Lea Bridge Road comprising 48.9 sqm
- Site 1B: irregular shaped area of highway to the south-west of Argall Way E10 the north-west junction of Argall Way and Lea Bridge Road comprising 1946.8 sqm
- Site 2: irregular shaped area of highway to the north-east of Orient Way E10 at the junction of Lea Bridge Road and Orient Way E10 and adjoining 160 Lea Bridge Road E10 comprising 3274.5 sqm
- Site 3: irregular shaped area of highway to the south-west of Orient Way E10 at the junction of Lea Bridge Road and Orient Way E10 comprising 1026.5 sqm
- Site 4: the rectangular area of highway under the bridge that crosses Lea Bridge Road E10 that links Site 1B and Site 3 comprising 39.2 sqm
IF THE ORDER IS MADE, it would authorise the stopping up only to enable development of the Lea Bridge Station sites described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out should planning permission be granted by the Council for planning application 212685. The Council gives notice of the draft Order under Section 253(1) of the above Act.
COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND THE RELEVANT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED during normal office hours for 35 days commencing on 1 December 2022 at Low Hall Depot, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS free of charge or via
content/road-traffic-schemes-and-consultations.
ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed order within the period of 35 days commencing on 1 December 2022 by written statement to
or by post to Legal Services, Waltham Forest Town Hall Complex, Forest Road, London, E17 4JF (Ref: NHP.327/JW).
In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

THE SCHEDULE
Demolition of existing structures and redevelopment of three land parcels to deliver 345 x residential units (Use Class C3), commercial floorspace (Use Class E) and community floorspace (Use Class F.2) in buildings of up to 26 storeys. Associated development including new public realm areas, tree planting and landscaping, accesses, parking and servicing facilities.
