ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH WESTHOUGHTON 067) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO.) ORDER 2022
The Borough Council of Bolton intends to make an Order not less than seven days from the date of this Notice.
The effect which will be operative from 30th January 2023 and will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath Westhoughton 067 commencing from Long Island Golf Course point A at grid reference SD 64134 06238 in a generally east then south easterly direction to point B Old Lane at grid reference SD 64715 06152; as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1 Wes 067 over a total distance of approximately 650 metres.
An alternative route is available Commencing from Long Island Golf Course, point A at grid reference SD 64134 06238; public footpaths Wes 068, Wes 059 (Long Lane) to Wes 066 (Old Lane) point B at grid reference SD 64715 06152 as shown by the blue line with arrowheads on the Order plan 1 Wes 067. The Order is necessary to facilitate railway bridge reconstruction works and will continue until 1st March 2023 or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
