Public Path Diversion Order 2021
On 4 November 2022 Dorset Council confirmed the above-named order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 as unopposed and the Council has certified that work has been carried out to bring the site of the new highway mentioned in article 3 of the order into a fit condition for use by the public.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert Bridleway 22, Bere Regis as shown on the order map as follows:
From the existing way:
i. The whole width of the way from the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis, west of Dodding's Farm at SY 85179375, south west to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis at SY 85159374.
ii. The whole width of the way from the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis, south west of Dodding's Farm at SY 85069360, south south west to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis at SY 85059358.
To the new way:
i. From the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis, west of Dodding's Farm at SY 85179375, generally west along a natural/grass surfaced track to SY 85159375, then generally south to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis at SY 85159374. The width of this part of Bridleway 22 varies: 7 metres between SY 85179375 and SY 85159375, narrowing to 3.2 metres between point SY 85159375 and SY 85159374. Limitation: Bridleway gate at SY 85159375 to BS5709:2018.
ii. From the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis, south west of Dodding's Farm at SY 85069360, generally south west along a natural/grass surfaced track to SY 85059359 and continuing generally south to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis at SY 85059358. The width of this part of Bridleway 22 varies:
5 metres between SY 85069360 and SY 85059359, narrowing to 3 metres between SY 85059359 and SY85059358. Limitation: Bridleway gate at SY 85059359 to BS5709:2018.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. Copies are also available on our website at www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/row-orders.
The order comes into force on 11 November 2022 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 1 December 2022, make an application to the High Court.

Dorset Council (A Footpath from Portwey Close to Rodwell Road, Weymouth) Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2022
The above Order, made on 18 November 2022, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them a Footpath in the Rodwell & Wyke Ward of Weymouth:
From its junction with Portwey Close, between property numbers 31 and 33 at SY 6751 7827, east along a concrete surfaced track for 75 metres (via point B (SY 6755 7828)) to its junction with Rodwell Road, between property numbers 34 and 36 at SY 6758 7828.
Width: 1.8 metres at SY 6751 7827, widening to 3.1 metres between SY 6755 7828 and SY 6758 7828.
A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. Copies are also available on our website at www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/row-orders.
Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to Barbara Talbott, Definitive Map Technical Officer, Definitive Map Team, Spatial Planning, Dorset Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ (Ref: RW/T520), or via email to barbara.talbott@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk not later than 06 January 2023. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Any letters received will be made available for public inspection.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, Dorset Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
