LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton propose to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended -



(a) The Sutton (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*; and



(b) The Sutton (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*



2. The principal objectives of the proposed Orders are; (a) to Introduce disabled bays to provide a parking facility for disabled persons where



a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult, and (b) revoke those parking bays that are no longer required; and (c) to ensure that the Orders match conditions as they exist on site.

3. The general effect of the Orders would be to:-



(a) provide new disabled person's parking places, 6.6 metres in length, in which vehicles displaying a disabled person's badge may park at any time, at the following locations:-



(i) outside Nos. 74 and 75 Corbet Close, Hackbridge



(ii) outside No. 417 Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton (in place of existing uncontrolled footway parking bay, 2 wheels on the footway)



(iii) adjacent Nos. 111 and 117 Grove Lane, Couldson



(iv) outside Nos. 262a and 264 London Road, Wallington



(v) opposite Nos. 21-24 Reynolds Close, Carshalton (in place of existing uncontrolled footway parking bay, 4 wheels on the footway)



(vi) adjacent No. 170 Stanley Road, Carshalton (located on Southdown Road, Carshalton)



(vii)outside No. 36 St Philip's Avenue, Worcester Park adjoining existing disabled bay

(viii) outside Nos. 280 and 282 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton (adjoining existing disabled bay) in place of existing uncontrolled footway parking bay, 2 wheels on the footway)

(b) revoke existing disabled person's parking places at the following locations:-



(i) outside No. 29 Beauchamp Road, Sutton (converting to a permit holder only bay)



(ii) outside No. 18 Brambledown Road, Wallington



(iii) outside The Orangery, Brookside, Carsahlton



(iv) outside No. 45 Hackbridge Road, Hackbridge



(v) outside No 21 Godalming Avenue, Wallington



(vi) outside No. 12-18 Lavender Road, Carshalton (converting to a uncontrolled footway parking bay, 2 wheels on the footway)



(vii) opposite No. 20 Oliver Road, Sutton (converting to a permit holder only bay)



(viii) opposite No. 24 Oliver Road, Sutton (converting to a permit holder only bay)



(ix) adjacent No. 42 Prince of Wales Road, Sutton (located on Duke of Edinburgh Road, Sutton)



(x) outside No. 62 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton (converting to a uncontrolled footway parking bay, 4 wheels on the footway)



(c) amend the map-based tiles to the schedule attached to The Sutton (Charged-For Parking Places) Order 2017 and to the Sutton (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) Order 2017 so as to more accurately represent the existing layout to match conditions as they exist on site.



Note: there will be no change to the restrictions as currently marked and signed on-street as a result of this amendment.

4. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected at the Council's Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1EA. 6. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of London Borough of Sutton, as part of this proposal, and by the powers conferred under section 15 of the Greater London Council (General Powers) Act 1974 is resolving the following:-



(a) Install lengths of uncontrolled footway parking at the following locations:-



(i) outside Nos. 12-18 Lavender Road, Carshalton see 3(b) item (vi) above



(ii) outside No. 62 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton see 3(b) item (x) above



(b) removal of existing lengths of uncontrolled footway parking at the following locations:-



(i) outside No. 417 Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton see 3(a) item (ii) above



(ii) opposite Nos. 21-24 Reynolds Close, Carshalton see 3(a) item (v) above



(iii) outside No. 280 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton see 3(a) item (viii) above
