Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U92625, Castle Road, Richards Castle, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U92625, Castle Road, Richards Castle, between the junction of the B4361 and the junction of Woodhouse Lane. Grid Ref: 348546 / 270343. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4361 onto Hereford and Worcester County Boundary Rock to Church Junction to B4361 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to rural fibre installation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 3rd of January 2023 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks.
