Hackney, Temporary Traffic Restrictions due to Resurfacing Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A10 GLA ROAD (STAMFORD HILL/ NORTHWOLD ROAD/ RECTORY ROAD/ MANSE ROAD/ EVERING ROAD, LONDON BOROUGH OF HACKNEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND STOPPING) ORDER 2022

1. Transport for London in consultation with the London Borough of Hackney hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above-named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable highway resurfacing works to take place on the A10 Rectory Road/ Manse Road/Evering Road.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:

(1) entering, exiting, proceeding or stopping on A10 Rectory Road/Manse Road/ Evering Road between its junctions with B111 Northwold Road and Leswin Road;

(2) entering or proceeding on the southbound carriageway of the A10 Stamford Hill/ Northwold Road between its junctions with Manor Road and B111 Northwold Road, local access will be maintained;

(3) entering, proceeding on Stoke Newington Common between its junctions with Jenner Road and Rectory Road;

(4) entering or proceeding on Brooke Road between its junctions with Jenner Road and Rectory Road, local access will be maintained between Jenner Road and No.58 Brooke Road;

(5) entering or proceeding on Brooke Road between its junctions with Darville Road and Rectory Road;

(6) entering or proceeding on Evering Road between its junction with Rectory Road and No.40a Evering Road;

(7) stopping outside Nos. 17B to 17F Northwold Road; The Order will also permit:

(8) two-way operation on Evering Road between its junctions with Darville Road and Rectory Road;

(9) two-way operation on Evering Road between its junctions with Manse Road and Bayston Road;

(10) all vehicles to proceed on Downs Road between its junctions with Queensdown Road and Rectory Road.

The Order will be effective between 8th December 2022 and 7th May 2023, every night 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibitions will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The restrictions will not apply to any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works, or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes, or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.

5. At such times as the prohibitions are in force alternative routes will be indicated by traffic signs. For southbound traffic via Manor Road, Lordship Park, Green Lanes, Newington Green, Newington Green Road, Balls Pond Road, Southgate Road and Downham Road to normal route of travel. Or via B111 Northwold Road, Clapton Common, Upper Clapton Road, Lower Clapton Road, Downs Road, Cricketfield Road, Pembury Road and Dalston Lane to normal route of travel.
