Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) Parish Of Allendale Public Footpath No 26 (Temporary Public Footpath Closure) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council has made an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Allendale Public Footpath No 26, In the County of Northumberland.
The length of Public Footpath No 26 which Is affected Is as follows:-
From the junction with Public Bridleway No 122 Immediately south-west of the Sewage Works In a general north-westerly direction following the northern bank of the River East Allen for a distance of 350 metres to a point 400 metres south-west of Catton Lea.

There Is an alternative route available using existing Parish of Allendale Public Footpaths Nos 25 and 34 from a point 30 metres north­west of the Sewage Works in a general north­westerly direction for a distance of 770 metres then continuing in a general westerly direction for a distance of 600 metres to the junction with Parish of Allendale Public Footpath No 26, 145 metres north-east of Struthers.

The Order is to be effective from the 5th December 2022 until the 5th June 2023.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council, Neighbourhood Services in the interests of public safety to assess and carry out repair works to the riverbank footpath.
