ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") has on 30th November 2022 made the Orders named below under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into operation on 5th December 2022 will introduce bike hangars for secure pedal cycle parking provision. It will also amend existing waiting and parking restrictions to allow for the installation of the hangars.

BRIGHTON & HOVE VARIOUS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.20 2022 (TRO-21A-2022)

- Zone A - Kingsley Road (outside No.4)

- Zone K - Clermont Terrace (outside No.39)

- Zone O - Cissbury Road (outside No.32)

Modification
A change to the order as originally proposed and advertised on 8th July 2022 is as follows:-The proposed installation of the following bike hangars have been withdrawn from the order:

- Zone A - Kingsley Road (outside No.31)

- Zone H - Chesham Street

- Zone K - Clermont Terrace (junction with Cumberland Road)

- Zone L - St Leonards Road (2 hangar locations)

- Zone O - Burton Villas and The Drive (Homedrive House)

- Zone V - Franklin Street (outside No.45) and Islingword Place (2 hangar location)

Please also note that the proposed installation of 2 bike hangars in Dudley Road previously advertised on 8th July 2022 in the Brighton & Hove Outer Areas (Waiting, Loading and Parking) and Cycle Lanes Consolidation Order 2018 Amendment Order No. * 202* (Ref: TRO-21b-2022) have been withdrawn.

A copy of this Notice, the Order as made and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
