(Byway 41, Stisted) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section S14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Byway 41, Stisted, in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 40 metres south of its junction with Lordsland Lane to its junction with Moat Road, for its entire length, a distance of approximately 600 metres.

The first alternative route is via Footpath 5, from its junction with Lordsland Lane southeast to its junction with Moat Road, and vice versa.

The second alternative route is from a point approximately 40 metres south of its junction with Lordsland Lane south/southeast on Lordsland Lane to its junction with Priors Green, east on Priors Green to its junction with Kerami Lane, northeast on Kerami Lane to its junction with Moat Road, north on Moat Road to its junction with Byway 41, and vice versa.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 01 December 2022 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public whilst repair works are carried out on the Byway

The Order will come into effect on 01 December 2022 and may continue in force for six months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. This Order may be extended by the Secretary of State if an extension is required.

(Footpath 56, Bradwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given
that Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close a length of Footpath 56, Bradwell, in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Footpath 57, southeast/south for a distance of approximately 50 metres.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 03 January 2023 to 13 January 2023 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required to allow for works to be carried out to install a new road adjacent to the Footpath.

The alternative route is via Footpath 56 from a point approximately 50 metres south of its junction with Footpath 57, south/southeast, then southwest, then northwest onto Footpath 59, west and northwest along Footpath 59 to its junction with Sheepcotes Lane, north along Sheepcotes Lane to its junction with Footpath 57, then east on Footpath 57, and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 03 January 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Various Roads, District of Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order (No.8) 2022


Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Braintree as specified in schedule 1.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road and those in schedule 2 for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restrictions will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 8th December 2022, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th December 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03160742598/1 - Anglian Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stoptap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

(North-east Slip from Hatfield Peverel to A12, Hatfield Peverel) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of North-east Slip from Hatfield Peverel to A12, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from its junction with The Street to its junction with A12 a distance of approximately 365m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th December 2022 for 1 night (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20134020113 - Braintree District Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while litterpicking works are undertaken by Braintree District Council.

An alternative route is available via The Street, London Road, A12, Boreham Roundabout, Link Between Generals Lane Roundabout and Boreham Roundabout, Generals Lane Roundabout and on to A12.

The Order came into effect on 24th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Queenborough Lane, Rayne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Queenborough Lane, Rayne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Gore Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th December 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03161144321 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Gore Road, Rayne Road, B1256, A131, Avenue West, Avenue East and Vice Versa (with access only into Queenborough Lane).

The Order came into effect on 24th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Robinhood End, Finchingfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Robinhood End, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 2845m south west of the junction with Great Yeldham Road for a distance of approximately 160m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th December 2022 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30075463168 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Little London Hill, Cornish Hall End, Stambourne Road, Cornish Hall End Road, Chapel End Way, Mill Road, Church Road and vice versa (with access only into Dyers End, Finchingfield Road, Robinhood End, Finchingfield Road - Howe Street, Upper Howe Street and Howe Street).

The Order came into effect on 24th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rolley Lane, Kelvedon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Rolley Lane, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree, from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th December 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03161239274 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, New Road, High Street and vice versa (with access only into Rolley Lane).

The Order came into effect on 24th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
