Public Path Diversion Order
Footpath 57 Little Burstead and Footpath 57 Basildon
On 24/11/2022 Essex County Council confirmed the above made order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed as shown on the order map is to divert:
i) a part length of Footpath 57 Little Burstead and Footpath 57 Basildon commencing as Footpath 57 Basildon from a point approximately 158 metres north of Dunton Road and east of Carvers Farm CM12 9TY, proceeding in a north eastward direction across the field to the parish boundary where it continues across the watercourse as Footpath 57 Little Burstead and across the crop field to the field edge, the path continues in a general north eastward direction across the watercourse then finally ascends the large crop field to the field edge at the western corner of St Mary's Church, to an alternative route commencing from the aforementioned point north of Dunton Road proceeding in a north north-westward direction at the field edge on the eastern side of the hedge to cross the footbridge and then proceed eastward at the field edge on the north side of the watercourse/hedge to the field corner. The path then follows the field headland on the western side of the watercourse firstly in a north north-westward direction then westward then north north-westward to a point approximately 90 metres south east of the junction of Footpaths 52 and 53 Little Burstead on the western side of the watercourse, the path will then cross the proposed culvert and follow the field edge on the south side of the hedge/ditch north eastward then south eastward to the hedge corner where it then finally crosses the field in an east north-eastward direction to the aforementioned point at the western corner of St Mary's Church.
ii) a part length of Footpath 57 Little Burstead commencing from a point at the crop field edge north of St Mary's Church CM12 9TR approximately 50 metres west of Rectory Road, proceeding across the corner of the field in a north north-westward direction to the field edge adjacent to Rectory Road, to an alternative route commencing from the aforementioned point north of St Mary's Church proceeding in an east north-eastward direction at the field edge to the field corner, continuing around the corner in a north westward direction at the field edge parallel to Rectory Road to the aforementioned point where the existing cross-field path joins the headland.
The alternative routes come into force on 29/12/2022, and the old routes will be stopped up on the date which Essex Council certifies the new routes fit for public use, but If a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 01/12/2022 make an application to the High Court.

Public Path Extinguishment Order
Footpath 53 Little Burstead
The above order, made on 30 September 2022, under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the public footpath commencing from a point at grid reference 56631,19149 at its junction with Footpath 52 Little Burstead east of Chase Farm buildings proceeding in a south westward direction across the agricultural field to its junction with Footpath 79 Little Burstead southeast of the farm buildings, as shown on the order map.
Public Path Creation Order
Chase Farm Little Burstead
The above order, made on 30 September 2022, under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980, will create a public footpath commencing from a point at grid reference 56631,19149 east of Chase Farm buildings connecting to Footpath 52 Little Burstead proceeding in a south eastward direction at the field edge adjacent to and on the western side of the watercourse to a point connecting to the recently diverted Footpath 57 Little Burstead, as shown on the order map.
Any representations about or objections to the 2 above mentioned Made Orders may be sent in writing to Andrew Ritchings, Definitive Map Service, Essex County Council, Seax House, 2nd Floor, Victoria Road South, Chelmsford CM1 1QH not later than 29 December 2022. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with the order. Any such representations or objections will be taken into account by the Council with the result that they may be made available to the public under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985.

(Byway 56, Little Burstead)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section S14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Byway 56, Little Burstead, in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Botney Hill Road to its junction with Dunton Road, for its entire length, a distance of approximately 1,148 metres.
The alternative route is via Dunton Road from its junction with Byway 56, west and northwest to its junction with Billericay Road, then northeast on Billericay Road and Botney Hill Road, and vice versa.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 01 December 2022 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public whilst repair works are carried out on the Byway.
The Order will come into effect on 01 December 2022 and may continue in force for six months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. This Order may be extended by the Secretary of State if an extension is required.
(Gardiners Lane North, Ramsden Crays)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Gardiners Lane North, Ramsden Crays in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Southlands Road for a distance of approximately 140m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd December 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA58177723 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Gardiners Lane North, A127, Slip Road from A127 to A132, Nevendon Road Roundabout, Nevendon Road Bypass, Nevendon Road Roundabout, Golden Jubilee Way, London Road Roundabout, London Road, Crays Hill, Southend Road, Barleylands Road, Wash Road, South Wash Road, Noak Hill Road Roundabout, Slip Road from Noak Hill Road, A127 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 8th December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
(Lambourne Hall Road, Canewdon)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lambourne Hall Road, Canewdon in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Creeksea Ferry Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th January 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC111WBJFTG6W003 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while spine cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Anchor Lane, Scotts Hall Road, Apton Hall Road, Gore Road, Creeksea Ferry Road and vice versa (with access only into Lambourne Hall Road).
The Order will come into effect on 8th December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
(Warren Drive & Ulting Way, Wickford)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Warren Drive, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Beauchamps Drive for a distance of approximately 20m in a southerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Ulting Way, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Beauchamps Drive for a distance of approximately 20m in a southerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 3rd January 2023 for 39 days, (one closure at a time) or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001192009 & 1001192071 -Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Warren Drive, Ulting Way, Beauchamps Drive and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 8th December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Borough of Castle Point)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.3) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of road in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping'' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 24th November 2022 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Vicarage Hill, Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from a point approximately 215m north east of its junction with Kings Road for a distance of approximately 200m in a north easterly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th December 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231007764 - Castle Point Borough Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while vegetation clearance works are undertaken by Castle Point Borough Council.
An alternative route is available via Essex Way, High Road and vice versa (with access only into Vicarage Hill).
The Order came into effect on 24th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
