The County Of Cumbria (A597 Main Road, U2644 Springfield Avenue And U2556 Kiln Green Avenue, High Harrington) (Temporary One-Way Traffic Restrictions) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Northern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to:

1. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, other than in a westerly direction along that section of the A597, Main Road, High Harrington, from its junction with Scaw Road, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 610 metres.

A suitable alternative route for eastbound vehicles is available via the unrestricted section of the A597 (High Harrington to
Workington), A596 and A595.

Duration: From 16 January 2023 for approx. 6 weeks (Ref: TTRO/1808)
2. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, other than in an overall westerly direction, along that section of the U2644, Springfield Avenue, High Harrington, from its eastern junction with Kiln Green Avenue to its western junction with Kiln Green Avenue. There is no suitable alternative route for east bound vehicles.

Duration: From 5 December 2022 for approx. 7 weeks (Ref: TTRO/1858)
3. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, other than in an overall easterly direction along that section of the U2556, Kiln Green Avenue, High Harrington, from its western junction with Springfield Avenue to its eastern junction with Springfield Avenue. There is no suitable alternative route for west bound vehicles.

Duration: From 5 December 2022 for approx. 7 weeks (Ref: TTRO/1856)
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

The Order will come into operation on 5 December 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
