Notice Of Modification Orders Section 53 Of The Wildlife And Countryside Act 1981

The Oxfordshire County Council Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for Oxfordshire Yarnton Footpaths Nos. 23 & 24 Modification Order 2022

The above Order made on the 22 November 2022, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them the footpaths: -

1. from Yarnton Footpath No. 6 at grid reference SP 4751 1190 running south-south-east for approximately 332m to the west of Yarnton Manor at SP 4763 1159, then west-south-west for approximately 351m to Footpath No. 24 northeast of the railway line at SP 4730 1147.

2. from Yarnton Footpath No. 6 northeast of a railway bridge at SP 4720 1150, running south-east for approximately 515m to Bridleway No. 21 north of a railway bridge at SP 4768 1132.

The above Order made on the 23 November 2022,
if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map
and Statement for the area by:-Upgrading to a bridleway the public right of way from the junction with Middletown at OS grid reference SP 3545 1262, running NE along Breach Lane for 863 metres to join Footpath No. 3 at SP 3592 1332.

Any representation or objection relating to the orders must be sent in writing to the Principal Officer, Countryside Records, Oxfordshire County Council, Ground Floor, County Hall, Oxford OX1 1ND, or

not later than 27 January 2023 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the orders, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the orders to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the orders. If the orders are submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with them. The notice period has been extended from 42 to 56 days to allow for the Christmas period.
