HARINGEY COUNCIL - PUBLIC NOTICE PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF CARE AT HOME PARKING PERMIT TO REPLACE EXISTING RESIDENT CARER PERMIT
The Haringey (Charged for Parking Places) (Amendment No. *) Order 202* T73
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the above mentioned Orders under sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Order: To replace the existing Resident Carer Permit with the Care at Home parking permit that offers one free transferable permit to residents living within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ), who require essential home visits by a doctor, district nurse, similar healthcare professional or voluntary carers. The new Care at Home Permit:
a) will be limited to the CPZ in which the applicant resides
b) may be used only in permit holder/resident permit holder and shared use (permit holder/resident permit holder or pay by phone) parking bays.
c) will be in paper form, allowing it to be transferred between vehicles for use solely by carers
d) may be used without time limit, whilst care is being provided
e) will be limited to one free Care at Home permit per applicant which will be valid for 3 years.
f) any residents requiring more than one carer at a time will be entitled to access paper visitor parking permits at the concessionary charge.
g) will be free of charge and transferable.
Copies of the proposed Orders and of the Council's statement of reasons for making the Orders may be inspected during normal office working hours until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders, at the reception desk, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR or can be viewed online at
