Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 1984 - Section 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Henley Footpath 245 at Marsh Lock, RG9 4HB Date of Order: 23 May 2022 Came into force: 27 May 2022 This Order was introduced for public safety reasons whilst the Environment Agency undertake investigations and remedial work to the footbridge and path. The works continue and are now anticipated to be completed by 31 May 2023. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily the Thames Path between Horseshoe Lane & Williams Hill. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to property which is only accessible from the closed section of footpath.

Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The alternative route for those affected by the closure is to the west via private land agreed by the owners. This Order with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 31 May 2023 or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
