The London Borough Of Barking And Dagenham (Becontree Avenue, Dagenham) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2022

Notice Of Making

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate Sewer cover replacement works on behalf of Thames Water, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has made a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Thursday 1 December 2022. The works expected for:

* Sewer cover replacement works on behalf of Thames Water to take 1 day to complete. Completion date estimated as Thursday 1 December 2022 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.
3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily:-

* Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Becontree Avenue, north side, from its junction with Bennetts Castle Lane in an easterly direction for a distance of 79 metres.

* Suspend the Bus Stand on Becontree Avenue, north side, from a point 29 metres east of its junction with Bennetts Castle Lane in an easterly direction for a distance of 10.5 metres.

4. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:

* Bennetts Castle Lane, Green Lane and Valence Avenue.

* Bennetts Castle Lane, Wood Lane and Valence Avenue.
