Notice Of Making Of An Order Highways Act 1980
Southend-On-Sea City Council Public Path Diversion Order 2022 Public Footpath No. FP257 Southend (Part)

The above order, made on 22nd November 2022 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert a part length of Public :ootpath No. FP257 Southend of unknown width shown by a bold continuous black line on the order map commencing at a point at the north-western corner of Garon Park where it connects with public footpath No. FP178 Southend and running n a generally easterly and north-easterly direction along the northern perimeter of Garon Park for a distance of 161 metres to a point at the boundary of Garon Park, then in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 212 metres where it continues in unaffected in a generally easterly direction to a footpath being 2 metres in width shown by a bold broken dotted line commencing at the aforementioned point at the north-western corner of Garon Park where it connects with public footpath No. FP178 Southend in a generally south-easterly direction for 41 metres then in a generally southerly direction adjacent to the existing earth bund (approximately 33 metres from the eastern boundary of Garon Park) for a distance of 140 metres, then in a generally easterly direction for a distance of 126 metres to the aforementioned point at a pedestrian gate where the existing public footpath FP257 continues in a generally easterly direction unaffected.

to arrange a suitable time to inspect the documents quoting the Order title. Documents can be made available for inspection 9.00am-4.30pm Mon-Fri at Southend City Council main reception, Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue if so required. downloads/download/648/public-rights-of-way Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent n writing to Tim Row, Legal & Democratic Services, Southend City Council, Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend on Sea, Essex SS2 6ER by not later than 30th December 2022. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Southend City Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with the Order. Any such representation or objections will be taken into account by the Council with the result that they may be made available to the public under the Loca Government (Access to Information) Act 1985.
