Melksham and Lacock, Temporary Traffic Notice

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C165 (Part), Lacock and Melksham Without; from its junction with Bowden Hill, Lacock to its junction with New Road, Melksham Without to enable Openreach to carry out safe access to overhead structure for tree cutting, cabling and associated works. Alternative route via C155 - A342 - A3102 - New Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 December 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: B) C395 (Part), Melksham Without; from its roundabout junction with A350 to its roundabout junction with Semington Road. C) Portal Road, Melksham Without; from its roundabout junction with A350 to its roundabout junction with Westinghouse Way to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, replacement of road markings, adjustment of ironworks and associated works on Hampton Park roundabout, Melksham Without. Alternative route A via A350 - Semington Road and vice versa. Alternative route B via C400 - A365 - A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 December 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 08 December 2022. D) C19 (Part), Edington and Steeple Ashton; from its junction with C219 to its junction with Drove Lane to enable BT to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C19 (unaffected length) - A350 - C49 - B3098 - C19 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 November 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 2 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
