Notice of Making of an Order Highways Act 1980 Public Path Diversion Order 2022 Footpaths 29 & 26 Langham


The above order, made on 10 November 2022, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, as shown on the order maps will divert:

Footpath 29 Langham

A part length of Footpath 29 commencing from a point at the south east corner of a field running in a north easterly then generally northerly direction for a total distance of 154 metres to the point where it connects with Footpath 26 Langham at the north east corner of a field, to an alternative route 2 meters in width commencing from a point in the south west corner of the field running in a north easterly direction along the field edge and around a pond for a total distance of 107 metres to the point where it connects to Footpath 26 Langham north west of a pond.

Footpath 26 Langham

A part length of Footpath 26 commencing from a point north of a pond running in a north easterly direction across a field for a total distance of 60 metres to the aforementioned point at the north east corner of the field where it meets the current route of Footpath 29 and continues unaffected, to an alternative route 2 meters in width commencing at the aforementioned point north west of a pond running in a north easterly direction along the field edge for a distance of 30 metres to a point at the north east corner of the field where it continues in an east south easterly direction around the field edge adjacent to a wooded area for a final distance of 41 metres to the aforementioned connection point with the current route of Footpath 29 where it continues unaffected. Any representations about or objections to the orders may be sent in writing to Robert Lee, Definitive Map Service, Essex County Council, Seax House, 2nd Floor, Victoria Road South, Chelmsford CM1 1QH not later than 22 December 2022 Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with the Order. Any such representation or objections will be taken into account by the Council with the result that they may be made available to the public under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985.

(Acacia Avenue, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Acacia Avenue, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Hawthorn Avenue to its junction with Magnolia Drive a distance of approximately 270m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th December 2022 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2331251 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway reconstruction works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Magnolia Drive, Hawthorn Avenue and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 1st December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Various Roads, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) & (Temporary Introduction of Clearway) Order (

) 2022

Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Colchester as specified in schedule 1 to this Order.

2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in those lengths of road as specified in the schedule.

3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road and those in schedule 2 for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 1st December 2022 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 270m south west of its junction with Dedham Meade for a distance of approximately 90m in a south westerly then south easterly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Hunters Chase, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Coggeshall Road for a distance of approximately 75m in a north westerly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 9th December 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA57083063 & 063A) - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Coggeshall Road, Harwich Road, Little Bromley Road, The Street, Dedham Road, Fen Lane, Ardleigh Road, Long Road West and vice versa (with access only into Hunters Chase).
The Order came into effect on 17th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Hall Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Hall Road, Tiptree in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 50m south east of its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th December 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03061131909 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter exchange works are undertaken by Water.

An alternative route is available via Ship Inn Lane, Maldon Road, Station Road and vice versa with access only into Hall Road.

The Order came into effect on 17th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Haye Lane, Fingringhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Haye Lane, Fingringhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 130m south east of its junction with Mersea Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th December 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03160374847/1 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fire hydrant repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Mersea Road, Fingringhoe Road, Abberton Road and vice versa with access only into Haye Lane.
The Order came into effect on 17th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(London Road, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of London Road, Great Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 350m south west of its junction with School Lane for a distance of approximately 70m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th December 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-1860-01 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while connection works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via London Road, School Lane, The Causeway, Old House Road, Coach Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 17th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Weeley Road, Great Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Weeley Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 620m east of its junction with Heckfords Road for a distance of approximately 160m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th December 2022 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (ZP010N0021758-1-MK-EUL-1 - Gas Transportation Co Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Gas Transportation Co Ltd. An alternative route is available via Weeley Road, The Tye Road, Shair Lane, Colchester Road, Heckfords Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 17th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(West Street, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of West Street, Wivenhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Station Road a distance of approximately 220m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th December 2022 for 31 days, or where stated on a valid permit (E201141780876 - VX Fiber Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation works are undertaken by VX Fiber Limited. An alternative route is available via Station Road, High Street and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 17th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
