NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 229 RAMSBOTTOM PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2022
On 1 November 2022 the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury confirmed the above Order made on 26 August 2022 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert part of the public footpath at Bast House, Bury as shown on the Order Map after seven days from the date of this notice and thereupon the Definitive Map and Statement for Bury shall be modified accordingly in accordance with Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
A copy of the confirmed Order and the Order map may be requested to be sent by email at prowconsult@bury.gov.uk and will also be available to view at the reception desk at Town Hall Bury BL9 0SW from 9:00 to 16:30.
This Order comes into force on 24 November 2022 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to confirmation of the Order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 24 November 2022.
