(Byway 41, Stisted) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends to make the above Order under section S14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended). Effect of the order: To temporarily close Byway 41, Stisted, in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 40 metres south of its junction with Lordsland Lane to its junction with Moat Road, for its entire length, a distance of approximately 600 metres. The first alternative route is via Footpath 5, from its junction with Lordsland Lane southeast to its junction with Moat Road, and vice versa.
The second alternative route is from a point approximately 40 metres south of its junction with Lordsland Lane south/southeast on Lordsland Lane to its junction with Priors Green, east on Priors Green to its junction with Kerami Lane, northeast on Kerami Lane to its junction with Moat Road, north on Moat Road to its junction with Byway 41, and vice versa. The closure is scheduled to commence on 01 December 2022 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public whilst repair works are carried out on the Byway.
The Order will come into effect on 01 December 2022 and may continue in force for six months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. This Order may be extended by the Secretary of State if an extension is required.
(Footpath 56, Bradwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close a length of Footpath 56, Bradwell, in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Footpath 57, southeast/south for a distance of approximately 50 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 03 January 2023 to 13 January 2023 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required to allow for works to be carried out to install a new road adjacent to the Footpath. The alternative route is via Footpath 56 from a point approximately 50 metres south of its junction with Footpath 57, south/southeast, then southwest, then northwest onto Footpath 59, west and northwest along Footpath 59 to its junction with Sheepcotes Lane, north along Sheepcotes Lane to its junction with Footpath 57, then east on Footpath 57, and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 03 January 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
(Footpath 5, Leaden Roding, Uttlesford), (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County Council, under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has been continued in force with the consent of the Secretary of State for the Department for Transport until 27 May 2023. Effect of the order: To temporarily close part of Footpath 5, Leaden Roding, in the District of Uttlesford. Footpath 5 at its junction with Footpath 21 Leaden Roding, southeast for a distance of 30 metres.
The closure is scheduled to take place on 27 November 2022 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public whilst works are carried out to repair the footbridge.
The closure commenced on 27 May 2022 and is required for the safety of the public due to repair works are undertaken to the footbridge.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beazley End, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 40m south east of its junction with Blackmore End for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd December 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WDHM334TA - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Beazley End, Mumfords Hill, Rotten End, Water Hall Lane, Braintree Road, Codhams Lane, Codham Mill Lane and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 1st December 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Codham Mill Lane, Wethersfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Codham Mill Lane, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree. from a point approximately 275m north east of the junction with Braintree Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th December 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WDHM2W4T - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Codham Mill Lane, Codhams Lane, Braintree Road, Church End, The Street, Wethersfield Road, High Street, Hudsons Hill, Hedingham Road, Blackmore End, Pattens Farm Road, Beazley End and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 17th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Green, Hatfield Peverel) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Green, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Ulting Road to its junction with Maldon Road a distance of approximately 30m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th December 2022 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001184856 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent. An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, The Street, Church Road, Ulting Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 17th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Mill Lane, Cressing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Lane, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 30m south east of its junction with Crozier Drive for a distance of approximately 70m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th December 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010711588 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Braintree Road and vice versa (with access only into Mill Lane).
The Order came into effect on 17th November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, District of Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Temporary Introduction of a Clearway & Temporary Suspension of Weight Restriction) & (Manor Street, Braintree) (Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order (No.7) 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of road in the District of Braintree as specified in the schedule.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restrictions will be in force.
3. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in Manor Street, Braintree from its junction with Railway Street, west to a point approximately 117.3 metres east of its junction with Fairfield Road/Market Place as detailed in '"The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Braintree) (One Way) Order 2020".
4. To temporarily suspend the weight restriction in that length of Bradford Street, Braintree, from its junction with Courtauld Road/The Causeway to its junction with Church Lane as detailed in "The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Braintree) (Weight Restriction) Order 1990".
5. To temporarily suspend the weight restriction in that length of London Road, Braintree from a point approximately 30m north east of its junction with Bakers Lane to a point approximately 300m north east of its junction with Queenborough Lane, a distance of approximately 1665m as detailed in the "Essex County Council (Various Road, Black Notley/Braintree) (Weight Restriction) Order 2000".
6. To temporarily suspend the weight restriction in that length of Queenborough Lane, Rayne from the junction with Gore Road to the junction with A131 Great Notley Bypass as detailed in the "Essex County Council (Various Roads, Great Saling, Jaspers Green, Panfield, Rayne) (Weight Restriction) Order 2006".
7. To temporarily suspend the weight restriction in that length of The Street/Dunmow Road, Rayne/Braintree from its junction with A120 Braintree Bypass to its junction with Shalford Road as detailed in the "Essex County Council (Dunmow Road and The Street, Rayne) (Weight Restriction) Order 1990.
"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 18th November 2022, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
